SulleNuvole serves up family recipes from a kitchen ‘seasoned with love’

They say there’s no saying “no” to a grandmother’s cooking, and that certainly seems to be the case for SulleNuvole, a cozy restaurant in Milan’s hip Isola district. Using recipes from their own beloved grandmas, the owners of this establishment have created a welcoming, homey atmosphere where you can enjoy fresh, seasonal dishes.

Perhaps the greatest thing about SulleNuvole is that they welcome you no matter what you’re after – a quick drink, some aperitivo, or a full-blown meal.

Colorful cushions and leather seats offer a perfect place to relax while drinking a glass of the fabulous house wine.

Or if wine isn’t your poison of choice, the Italian craft beer may be more up your alley.

If you arrive at aperitivo time, you can pay €2 extra for a plate of snacks. Its contents depend solely on what’s available in the kitchen that day – but no matter what it is, you can rest assured that it’s seasonal and fresh.

If you’re in the mood for a full meal, venture over to the dining area, which has plenty of character of its own.

The meals are beautifully served from a kitchen “seasoned with love.” The chicken curry is highly recommended.

Address: Via Garigliano, 12

Hours: Opening times vary, and the restaurant is closed on Sundays. Check their website for the full schedule.
